Project Overview
This project involved supporting the implementation of a preventative maintenance strategy for a fleet of 530+ standby generators deployed across sites. The objective of the program was to improve generator reliability and ensure that backup power systems remained operational during electrical grid outages. The initiative required analysis of generator operational data, coordination of maintenance activities across geographically distributed infrastructure sites, and validation of contractor maintenance activities to ensure equipment performance and operational readiness.
Preventative maintenance planning for 530+ standby generators supporting telecommunications infrastructure
Reliability monitoring and maintenance scheduling for distributed generator assets
Analysis of generator runtime data and operational trends
Coordinated maintenance planning for geographically distributed sites
Supported scheduling of maintenance teams and contractor activities
Consumables and Spare Parts Planning
Assisted in procurement planning for maintenance consumables such as filters, oil, control boards such as deep sea 4220, and fuel solenoid
Contractor Work Verification
Reviewed contractor maintenance reports and validated completion of service tasks and random testing across fleet
Ensured adherence to maintenance standards and operational procedures
Generator Fleet Status Dashboard developed to monitor operational reliability across telecommunications infrastructure sites. The dashboard visualizes key metrics including functional generators, defective units, and repair activity trends to support infrastructure reliability planning and operational decision-making.
Major Repairs Program Monitoring Dashboard used to track the progress of large-scale generator repair initiatives across the telecommunications network. The system monitors repair scope, completed work, pending units, and overall completion rates to support program oversight and contractor performance management.
Generator Maintenance Activity and Cost Analysis Dashboard designed to analyze repair trends, maintenance drivers, and financial expenditures associated with generator fleet operations. The dashboard supports engineering planning by linking maintenance activity with capital and operational spending patterns.
Generator Repair Tracking Database used to monitor repair activities across the telecommunications generator fleet. The system records generator models, maintenance status, contractor work performed, repair timelines, and equipment condition updates. It enabled coordinated maintenance planning and tracking of infrastructure repair progress across multiple network sites.
Inspection of belt-driven mechanical components including pulleys, cooling fan assembly, and accessory drive systems on a standby diesel generator supporting telecommunications infrastructure.
Generator Operational Status Monitoring Dashboard developed to visualize infrastructure reliability trends across the generator fleet. The system tracks operational generator availability, defect trends, and repair outcomes to support maintenance prioritization and network uptime reliability.
